Eesti Fonogrammitootjate Ühing jagab 25. veebruaril suurejoonelisel kontsertetendusel välja tunnustused parimatele eesti muusikutele, kellel on eelneva aasta jooksul album ilmunud. 12. korda jagatavad auhinnad on tähtsaim kodumaa muusikaareeni tunnustus meie tegevartistidele.

A Le Coq Live Eesti Muusikaauhindade gala toimub sel aastal esmakordselt võimsa showna Nokia Kontserdimajas. Kontsert, millel esinevad tähtsaimad eelmisel aastal Eesti muusikamaastikul ilma teinud artistid, toob üheks õhtuks kokku kogu vabariigi muusika- ja seltskonna koorekihi.
Muusikaauhinnad jagatakse kätte 15s nominatsioonis. Võitjad valib muusikatööstuse ja sellega lähedalt seotud valdkondade valikuline zürii. Hääletamisel osaleb kokku 131 inimest. Lisaks selgub vahetult enne üritust Rahva Lemmik.
Eksklusiivsest üritusest teeb otseülekande TV3.
Erandina lastakse sel aastal müüki piiratud arvul pileteid neile, kes tahavad glamuurset showd kohapeal näha. Piletiomanikud saavad nautida lisaks otseülekandele eelnevat kontserti, kus astuvad üles juhtivad eesti artistid. Piletid hinnaga 150 ja 190 krooni tulevad müüki Piletilevi ja Ticketpro müügipunktides järgmisel nädalal.
